Deli Geese Project – Block #28 – Daisy

Here is block number #28 of the Deli Geese Block Project!

Daisy

28 Daisy

I just had to name these blocks with bright and fun fabrics after cartoon characters!

Block #28 Daisy, uses the Bottom Units from Light Flying Geese Units.  Details of making the units are found here.

Bottom Unit from Light Flying Geese

Bottom Light Unit

Daisy uses:
A – four Bottom Units from Light Flying Geese units.
B – four  3 3/8″ x  5″ pieces – I just trimmed some 5″ squares to this measurement
C – one 5 3/8″ square background (light) cut twice on the diagonal
D – one 3 3/8″ square background
E – four 2 1/4″ squares background

Trim the center portion of the block to 8 1/2″ before adding the Deli Geese units.

This block will measure 12″ at this point and finish 11 1/2″

For this block I eliminated many seams and speeded up the sewing process from my original drawing.  Here is the original center. I had been playing around with a square and three connecting corners added. The new improved version above will go together much faster!

27 original center

This block as well as many others in the Deli Geese Block Project uses 5″ squares.  It’s a great block for charm packs, layer cakes, and of course stash fabrics.

Deli Geese, because they’re sliced !

Enjoy!
