Deli Geese Project – Block #16 – Vixen

Here is block number #16 of the Deli Geese Block Project!

16 Vixen

I promise this is the last block for a while that contains Christmas fabrics!

I’m tucked in my house nice and warm while the cold front moves in.  I took some orders to the post office this morning when it was around 20° and I actually made the comment to the postal clerk that I was getting my errands out of the way before the cold front moved in. Now I realize that many might consider 20° a little on the cold side but in Twin Cities the temperature is suppose to get down to -25° with wind chill between 35 and 65 below zero!

Block #16 Vixen uses the Bottom Units from Light Flying Geese units.  Details of making the units are found here.

Bottom Light Unit

Vixen uses:
A – four Bottom Units from Light Flying Geese units.
B – two 5″ squares dark or medium – make a Disappearing Four Patch using the B and C squares
C – two 5″ squares  background (light)
D – four 2 1/4″ squares background

This block will measure 12″ at this point and finish 11 1/2″

This block as well as many others in the Deli Geese Block Project uses 5″ squares.  It’s a great block for charm packs, layer cakes, and of course stash fabrics.

Deli Geese, because they’re sliced !

  1. I really like the fabrics you mixed up in this one. Those triangles in the corners make me feel like the block is going to move – like those whirly things that fall from the trees here in TN.
