The 4th and final installment of the Nickel Mania retreat for the Green Country Quilters in Tulsa, OK.
These are blocks for the Millennium Star quilt from the first Nickel Quilt book. For a while Judy had eleven blocks up on the design wall and I was very excited when she was able to add a twelfth block before we had to pack up.
Autumn Stretched Star blocks are photographed below; this quilt is in the first Nickel Quilt book. A good way to use some 5″ squares with larger prints.
Pinwheel blocks, this pattern is also found in the first Nickel Quilt book.
The Flying X blocks below are already being auditioned with the pieced border; this quilt is in Nickel Quilts & Borders.
A block from Four Patch Scramble, which is in the Amazing Nickel Quilt book.
A group photo before many had to pack up and leave.
I know I was able to get these quilters looking at 5″ squares and their fabric stashes in a whole new way, and that completed projects will start showing up at the guild’s show-and-tell before long!
